Batelco cuts Gulf tariffs

MANAMA: Batelco has announced new rates for calls to GCC countries for its prepaid calling cards.

All calls to Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Oman will now cost 85 fils per minute.

Batelco prepaid calling cards are available in denominations of BD 1, BD 3 or BD 5.

"The new rates have been introduced in time for customers to phone their friends and families over the Eid holidays," said Batelco corporate affairs general manager Ahmed Al Janahi.

"This is a permanent reduction, not merely a temporary promotion, and as many Bahrain residents have friends or family in the GCC states.

"Additionally, as all calls are routed over Batelco's modern network, we can guarantee the high quality of the connection when using these cards."
